AbVacc, Inc. is a privately held Delaware corporation with laboratories and offices in Rockville, Maryland. AbVacc's mission is to discover and develop the next generation of "smart" vaccines and monoclonal antibodies using structure-guided rational design. AbVacc’s portfolio, funded by the U.S. government and Novo Holdings, includes vaccines and antibodies against severe emerging infectious diseases such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridioides difficile, Bacillus anthracis, filoviruses Ebola, Sudan, and Marburg, Nipah virus, and influenza in late preclinical stages, as well as several other vaccine candidates in early discovery stages. AbVacc’s methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus vaccine (IBT-V02) for the prevention of recurrent skin and soft tissue infections is nearing clinical trials, with an IND submission expected by the end of 2023.
