Cortigent

Cortigent, a subsidiary of Vivani Medical, is pioneering the development of targeted neurostimulation systems to help patients regain critical bodily functions. Cortigent’s technology combines advanced neuroscience with proprietary microelectronics, software, and data processing capabilities to deliver artificial vision and potentially restore muscle movement. Building on this neurostimulation platform, the company has largely completed an early feasibility clinical trial to evaluate what it calls the more advanced "Orion" artificial vision system. Cortigent is also further exploring the Orion® neurostimulation technology to accelerate the recovery of arm and hand function in stroke patients with partial paralysis.
