Anthropic is an AI safety and research company that’s building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. Today’s large general-purpose systems can bring significant benefits but are also unpredictable, unreliable, and opaque: our goal is to make progress on these issues. For now, we’re primarily focused on research towards these goals; in the future, we foresee many opportunities for our work to create commercial value and public benefit.
