Chromocell Therapeutics

Chromocell Therapeutics Corporation was founded in Delaware on March 19, 2021. The company is a clinical-stage biotechnology firm focused on developing and commercializing new therapies for pain relief. Its clinical focus is the selective targeting of sodium ion channels, specifically "NaV1.7," as well as other receptors within the NaV family. NaV1.7 has been genetically validated in human physiology as a pain receptor. Genetic studies have shown that families with certain hereditary NaV1.7 modulations consistently exhibit a pathology of not perceiving pain. NaV1.7 blockers are chemical substances that modify the structure of sodium channels to prevent the transmission of pain perception to the central nervous system ("CNS"). Our goal is to develop a novel proprietary NaV blocker targeting the peripheral nervous system, initially for the treatment of Erythromelalgia ("EM"), a rare condition.
