MPC Therapeutics

MPC Therapeutics is a biotechnology company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, focusing on metabolism and rejuvenation. Under the leadership of CEO Raphaël Martinou, MPC Therapeutics was spun off from the University of Geneva (UNIGE) in 2018 to develop molecules that can modulate mitochondrial function and trigger cellular reprogramming to combat cancer and degenerative diseases. Based on the pioneering work of Professor Jean-Claude Martinou, the company is able to screen, optimize, and patent small molecule compounds that specifically inhibit the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC).
