Ophirex

Ophirex is a public benefit corporation dedicated to developing safe, effective, and accessible treatments for snakebite envenomation, as well as overcoming various types of antivenom-resistant snakebite syndromes. Ophirex's lead candidate drug, varespladib, can block sPLA2, a nearly ubiquitous and typically highly toxic venom component present in at least 95% of snake venoms.
