AVS Bio, headquartered in Norwich, Connecticut, is a global supplier of specific pathogen-free (“SPF”) eggs as well as adjacent laboratory products and services, supporting the development and manufacturing of vaccines, therapies, and other biologics for human and animal health. Prior to its acquisition, the company was a subsidiary of Charles River Laboratories (NYSE: CRL). The company currently employs over 250 staff across more than 20 facilities in Connecticut, New York, Illinois, Missouri, and Europe.
