Prostatype Genomics is a company incubated at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. The company spun off from the medical school with the aim of translating research findings into clinical applications and successfully developed the CE-certified Prostatype® Test System. Prostatype Genomics is the exclusive owner of all research and development, intellectual property, and patents. The company has applied for patents in Sweden, the United States, mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Europe (EPO), valid until 2034, with the Canadian patent application currently in process. Prostatype® is a registered trademark in Europe. The vision of Prostatype Genomics is to ensure that doctors and patients diagnosed with prostate cancer have full confidence in their treatment decisions. The mission of Prostatype Genomics is to transform the lives of prostate cancer patients by discovering and commercializing translational tests to guide treatment decisions, thereby improving patient quality of life while reducing healthcare costs.
