InnoVec Biotherapeutics Inc. (InnoVec Biotherapeutics Inc. or Innovecbio) is a company dedicated to the development of gene editing delivery technologies and drug discovery. With the philosophy of "In China For Global," the company focuses on developing precise, safe, and efficient tissue-targeted vectors, aiming to solve gene delivery challenges for all human tissues and organs, thereby enabling gene therapy to be widely applied across various diseases and populations.In terms of delivery technology, based on receptor-targeted vector development, Innovecbio has developed multiple AAV vectors suitable for intravitreal injection in the eye. These have been repeatedly validated in small and large animal models. Based on these vectors, Innovecbio is advancing clinical research. Additionally, vectors targeting tissues such as the liver, heart, nerves, and muscles are under development. To address toxicity caused by the immunogenicity of viral vectors and the inability to perform repeated injections, Innovecbio is also developing fully human virus-like delivery vectors composed of human proteins, which theoretically can significantly reduce or even eliminate the immunogenicity issues of delivery vectors.Building on its self-developed intravitreal injection vectors, Innovecbio is actively pushing forward with product development, including hereditary retinal diseases caused by genetic mutations such as X-linked retinoschisis (XLRS), achromatopsia (CNGA3), retinal degeneration (RDH12), and juvenile macular degeneration (ABCA4), as well as common retinal conditions like retinal degenerative diseases and age-related macular degeneration. Meanwhile, Innovecbio is also actively exploring gene therapies for diseases outside the field of ophthalmology, including Alzheimer's disease, neuronal inclusion body disease, and sarcopenia.
