Penn Highlands Healthcare consists of eight hospitals that serve the communities in this region. Its operations also encompass home care agencies, long-term care facilities and senior living communities, as well as medical equipment companies and retail pharmacies.Penn Highlands Healthcare has grown into an organization with 6,651 employees, operating in over 150 locations across 39 counties in northwestern/central and southwestern Pennsylvania, including community medical buildings, outpatient facilities, surgery centers, and physician practices. The hospitals collectively have 1,498 inpatient beds, skilled nursing beds, and personal care beds. The system includes 827 physicians and 405 advanced practice providers, offering extensive care and treatment for patients with cancer, cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, pulmonary conditions, neonatal care, and high-risk pregnancies.
