Hechen Bioworkx was established in May 2022 in Hefei High-tech Zone, China. It is a synthetic biology enterprise focused on the research and industrialization of functional active ingredients. The founding team of Hechen Bioworkx comes from leading domestic and international companies such as Unilever, Yili Group, and Jianfeng Group, with nearly two decades of engineering technology accumulation and extensive industrial experience in the field of functional active ingredients. Their expertise spans strain engineering, fermentation, extraction processes, scale-up production, product formulation solutions, and market channels. The company's co-founder and chief scientist is Professor Xixian Xie, director of the Key Laboratory of Industrial Fermentation Microbiology, Ministry of Education, at Tianjin University of Science and Technology. Professor Xie has long been engaged in scientific research and industrial development in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering. He has achieved a series of innovative research results in the fields of amino acid and derivative synthetic biology and metabolic engineering, developed a range of high-value amino acid products, and successfully industrialized more than twenty achievements, generating significant economic benefits.
