Basic Information
BMI KOREA's botulinum toxin product has obtained exclusive licensing in mainland China, entering a market worth approximately 4 billion yuan. The BMI botulinum toxin product is developed for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe glabellar lines in adults aged 19 to 65 caused by the activity of the corrugator and/or procerus muscles. Phase III clinical trial results in Korea have shown its efficacy and safety to be comparable to Botox. In July 2022, the product submitted a Biologics License Application (BLA) to South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) for marketing approval. Botulinum toxin is a safe and effective medical aesthetic material widely used in comprehensive anti-aging solutions. Type A botulinum toxin products are technologically mature with high market acceptance. Botox, a globally renowned botulinum toxin product, was first approved by the FDA for marketing in 1989, making it the first approved Type A botulinum toxin product.
