Ceryx Medical is developing a bioelectronic technology based on a unique, patented chip technology that mimics the function of neural centers in the body known as central pattern generators (CPGs). These CPGs help control a range of automatic or rhythmic processes in the body, such as peristalsis, heart rate, and even walking. Ceryx’s artificial CPGs aim to restore normal function in cases where these processes are affected by disease or injury.
