Cancer is a leading cause of death globally, and the number of patients is expected to triple by 2060. Despite a significant increase in available immunotherapies, only one-third of first-line patients receiving immunotherapy respond, and many potentially responsive patients do not qualify for treatment due to a lack of accurate predictive biomarkers. To address this major oncology challenge, Elephas is developing an ex vivo platform to evaluate the response of live patient biopsies to immunotherapy. Our unique approach preserves the tumor's native three-dimensional cellular structure and microenvironment, enabling rapid real-time characterization of live tumor responses to immunotherapy using the latest advancements in metabolic imaging.
