Basic Information
EMulate Therapeutics, Inc., founded in 2002, is developing a non-invasive medical device that uses radiofrequency energy technology. EMulate Therapeutics' mission is to advance the development and adoption of the company’s low to ultra-low radiofrequency energy technologies for medical, health, and environmental applications, which are determined by the FDA (or other applicable regulatory bodies) to be non-toxic, non-invasive, non-ionizing, safe, and effective. EMulate Therapeutics has invented and patented a breakthrough technology that utilizes radiofrequency energy (RFE) precisely targeted at the low and ultra-low ends of the RFE spectrum (ulRFE®) to specifically modulate at the molecular and genetic levels—without chemicals, radiation, or drugs—delivered through a simple-to-use, non-invasive therapeutic system. EMulate Therapeutics used proprietary technology to derive an ulRFE signal from the well-known chemotherapy drug paclitaxel, which is known to have a specific effect on tumor cells by interrupting or significantly slowing the normal metabolic activity of cell division. Treatment data from EMulate Therapeutics’ clinical trials indicate that its ulRFE signal produces molecular effects at the cellular level that are fundamentally similar to those of the paclitaxel drug.
