Amgen Astellas BioPharma is the product of a unique alliance between Amgen and Astellas, established in May 2013, focusing on the co-development and co-commercialization of five of Amgen's pipeline drugs in Japan. The new joint venture is headquartered in Tokyo. Amgen Astellas BioPharma sells pharmaceutical products, including osteoporosis drugs, hypercholesterolemia drugs, and other products.
