Qmed Asia (formerly QueueMed) is a healthcare technology startup founded in 2018 by a group of doctors and engineers with the aim of assisting public and private healthcare providers in their digital health transformation. Our initial focus was on addressing the issue of long queues in hospitals, a problem our founder, Dr. Kev Lim, personally experienced while taking his daughter for a follow-up visit. Additionally, it is worth noting that patients’ experiences in hospitals often involve dissatisfaction due to unnecessarily long waits. Passionate about healthcare, together with Dr. Tai Tzyy Jiun and Nic Tai, we took matters into our own hands and decided to permanently resolve the issues patients face in hospitals. Since implementing our online appointment system and mobile queue solutions in clinics and hospitals, we have received significant support and positive feedback from both the public and healthcare providers. It wasn’t long before we realized there was still much work to be done in Malaysia’s healthcare industry, as we were inundated with numerous requests and demands from users (healthcare providers). Our mission is to introduce more comprehensive modules that will significantly impact the healthcare industry. Today, Qmed Asia serves as an all-in-one healthcare companion for patients and healthcare providers alike. Healthcare providers can effortlessly implement various digital health modules such as patient experience solutions, virtual clinic solutions, clinical practice assistants, and healthcare service matching. For patients, we offer a full range of online healthcare services, including booking appointments and joining virtual queues at nearby medical institutions, having doctors or nurses visit their homes, video consultations with doctors, and remote patient monitoring solutions.
