GenKOre

GenKOre is a spin-off startup from the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB), a government-funded research institution in South Korea. It operates a platform business through an ultra-compact genome editing platform. GenKOre develops AAV-based and non-AAV-based gene therapies, as well as animals and plants, using its own genome editing system. Recently, GenKOre expanded its research facilities in Seoul to attract more researchers and focus on developing gene therapies based on ultra-compact genome editing technology, while seeking collaborations with pharmaceutical companies and academia.
