Spirea Limited is a Cambridge, UK-based company dedicated to advancing the next generation of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) therapies. Under the leadership of CEO Dr. Myriam Ouberai, Spirea has developed a technology platform that allows more cytotoxic drugs to be attached to targeting antibodies (higher drug-to-antibody ratio), meaning more drugs are delivered to cancer cells. This enables the development of stable and customized ADCs incorporating various drug payloads with different potency levels and modes of action. This will lead to cancer treatments with significantly improved efficacy and safety.
