ENCell Focuses on Developing Cell and Gene Therapies. ENCell, a rising star in the cell and gene therapy CDMO sector in Korea, was founded by Professor Chang Jong-wook, formerly of Samsung Medical Center. ENCell has secured collaboration on 19 cell and gene therapy projects with 14 pharmaceutical companies and gained attention last year for reaching an agreement with Novartis regarding the cell processing and supply of the CAR-T therapy drug Kymriah.
