Basic Information
Sync Project is developing a physiological response music health platform for a range of conditions as part of personalized treatment. The company aims to validate interventions in large consumer experiments and controlled clinical studies, such as stress, sleep, anxiety, and pain. The company has also launched unwind.ai, a global experiment using algorithmically generated music to enhance relaxation before sleep. Anyone with a smartphone can participate for free and contribute to a global dataset on how music affects stress. Sync Project is building on this by collaborating with world-leading scientists and musicians to conduct the first large-scale study measuring how structural properties of music—such as tempo, pitch, and timbre—affect biometrics like heart rate, brain activity, and sleep patterns. Sync Project is applying machine learning to this dataset to develop personalized music therapies.
