Cartherics

Cartherics’ mission is to develop novel “off-the-shelf” (allogeneic) immunotherapy products based on immune effector cells, such as natural killer (NK) cells and T cells, equipped with chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) targeting cancer antigens, and genetically edited to overcome the suppression of natural killer functions that cancer cells use to protect themselves from immune cell eradication. The initial target cancers for Cartherics’ immune stem cell products are adenocarcinomas, particularly ovarian cancer. As Cartherics advances its development programs, the targeted indications will expand to include gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, small cell lung cancer, and triple-negative breast cancer.
