StarryGene is located in Hefei, Anhui Province, China. It is an incubated enterprise of the Advanced Research Institute of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). The company focuses on the development of gene therapy drugs for ophthalmic diseases and research and services in gene editing technology. It is committed to achieving gene therapy drugs for ophthalmic use that are independently accessible to Chinese people, allowing them to see longer and better. The founding team of StarryGene consists of professors and doctors from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and USTC, with years of deep expertise in ophthalmology, gene editing, and gene therapy research and management. The company first establishes itself in Hefei, then radiates to the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai regions, making full use of the clinical resources of the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China and the USTC Hospital's Department of Ophthalmology.
