Coval Biopharma, founded by core members of a well-known U.S. pharmaceutical company’s formulation and new drug R&D team, was established by individuals with over 20 years of experience in new drug and formulation development. Several innovative formulations they led the development of have already been marketed. The company focuses on developing a series of localized sustained-release drugs using polymer side-chain chemical synthesis technology as its core platform, combined with cutting-edge localized drug delivery technology. The current areas of interest include arthritis, psoriasis, ophthalmic diseases, and respiratory conditions. Clinical candidate compounds for arthritis and psoriasis projects have been identified, and preparations for clinical trial applications are underway. Ophthalmic disease drugs are currently in the stage of screening for clinical candidate compounds.
