Laxxon Medical is a U.S.-based company that has developed a patented 3D screen printing technology capable of controlling the release of multiple active pharmaceutical ingredients within a single tablet. Its 3D screen printing technology allows the internal structure of pills to include alternating layers of active and inert components, enabling the release of varying drug dosages over time. The company’s Screen Printing Innovation Drug (SPID) technology allows multiple drug components to be combined in one pill through 3D printed layers, effectively consolidating several pills into one.
