ImCheck Therapeutics was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Marseille, France. The company is dedicated to the development of a new generation of immunomodulatory antibodies for cancer treatment. ImCheck Therapeutics is designing and developing novel therapies that target members of the Butyrophilin (BTN) superfamily of checkpoint molecules and engage specific types of immune cells, γ9δ2T cells. ImCheck has developed monoclonal antibody (mAb) candidates targeting BTN, with its leading program expected to enter clinical evaluation in 2020. Due to their mechanism of action, which includes the ability to modulate both innate and adaptive immunity simultaneously, ImCheck's "first-in-class" mAbs may improve upon first-generation cancer checkpoint inhibitors. ImCheck’s programs also hold potential in autoimmune indications, which the company is currently exploring.
