Retinagenix Holdings

Retinagenix Holdings is a private biotechnology company focused on ophthalmic orphan diseases caused by genetic defects. The company was founded by serial entrepreneur Marco Northland and Dr. David Saperstein, a co-inventor of the core technology behind Zuretinol. Dr. Saperstein, who has over 30 years of experience in retina research, is also a practicing retinal surgeon. The core technology of the Zuretinol project was developed during his time at the University of Washington. Zuretinol is a first-in-class oral therapy in clinical stage for the treatment of Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA) or Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) caused by mutations in the RPE65 or LRAT genes.
