Avenge Bio, Inc. is a biotechnology company focused on oncology, developing transformative cell-based immunotherapy products for the treatment of refractory solid tumors by integrating its LOCOcyte™ platform. The LOCOcyte™ platform utilizes proprietary engineered cells delivered to the local tumor environment, producing high concentrations of immune effector molecules near the tumor. This initiates a robust, localized, and sustained systemic immune response while avoiding the toxicity associated with systemic immunotherapy. Avenge’s lead candidate, AVB-001, generates natural IL-2 immunotherapy and is initially being studied in metastatic peritoneal cancers such as ovarian cancer.
