The core team comes from world-renowned pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and AI-driven drug discovery firms, including D.E. Shaw Research, Schrödinger, Roivant, Exscientia, and others. The team possesses deep expertise in drug discovery and strong self-developed scientific modeling capabilities, with the ability to deeply integrate AI technology into various pharmaceutical scenarios to empower new drug R&D. TandemAI seamlessly connects its proprietary high-performance computing platform driven by quantum mechanics and artificial intelligence with large-scale, efficient wet labs. It has independently deployed a next-generation web-based graphical user interface called TandemViz and continuously launched innovative workflows such as high-throughput virtual screening, dual-target small molecules, scaffold hopping, cryptic pocket search, and QuickCycle. These innovations enable deep integration of "dry-wet laboratories," helping clients significantly improve R&D efficiency in target validation, hit compound discovery and optimization, and lead compound optimization while expanding the exploration space for compounds and addressing key pain points in new drug development. Founded in October 2021, the company completed a $25 million seed and Pre-A round financing at the end of the same year, led by Chengwei Capital and OrbiMed. In March 2023, it closed a $35 million Series A round led by Qiming Venture Partners, with participation from OrbiMed, Eight Roads Ventures, and F-Prime Capital. To date, TandemAI has nearly 300 employees across New York, Boston, Shanghai, and Suzhou, with nearly 15,000 square meters of chemistry and biology labs. The company has provided high-quality services to more than 50 well-known domestic and international biotech companies, with a continuously growing client base and project pipeline.
