Chromaderm

Chromaderm is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing a topical inhibitor of melanin production as a first-in-class therapy for skin lightening, melasma, and other skin conditions associated with increased melanin production. Chromaderm’s lead candidate, ruboxistaurin (SM-030), is an inhibitor of PKC-beta. In a Phase 1 clinical trial completed under a U.S. IND, the topical formulation of SM-030 demonstrated the ability to inhibit UV-induced melanin production.
