Santaris Pharma is a Danish clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. Founded in 2003, the company holds the patent rights to LNA technology, a third-generation antisense nucleic acid chemistry technology used for developing new types of RNA drugs, also known as RNA antagonists. Santaris Pharma has developed mRNA antagonists and microRNA antagonists to silence mRNAs and microRNAs associated with various diseases such as cancer, metabolic disorders, and viral infections.
