Big Vision Medical Technology was founded in 2015 by a young chief scientist of China's National 973 Program. Based on China’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) assisted diagnosis system for ophthalmology, the company has entered the market with AI-integrated ophthalmic Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) hardware. It provides intelligent system solutions to grassroots hospitals, physical examination centers, optometry centers, and other eye health medical and service units. Furthermore, it offers comprehensive one-stop eye health management services to individual users based on image-centric eye health data. The company’s R&D team, composed of doctors and masters, boasts world-leading technical R&D capabilities and has achieved more than forty innovative results and patents. Big Vision pioneered the development of the multi-modal AI analysis and diagnostic software system MIAS, which has obtained a Class II medical device registration certificate. Its fully automatic AI ophthalmic OCT scanner (BV1000), the first AI-integrated hardware-software solution with full independent intellectual property rights, perfectly meets the diagnostic and screening needs of ophthalmic hospitals at all levels. Highly praised by experts and users, it received a Class II medical device registration certificate and license in August 2020. Additionally, the company developed the “Bright Lemon” eye health management system for optometry, which is highly favored by optometry centers, eyewear stores, grassroots ophthalmology clinics, and outpatient departments.
