Basic Information
Trince is a spin-off company from Ghent University (UGent), developing innovative and efficient technologies to insert genetic material into cells. It advances cell-based science and therapies by facilitating the in vitro entry of molecules into cells. The company's LumiPore transfection platform, which includes a series of pending patents, combines laser exposure with photothermal nanoparticles to convert light energy into thermal energy, transiently permeabilizing the cytoplasmic membrane. It can be used to deliver various effector molecules (such as nucleic acids or proteins) into almost any type of cell, including hard-to-transfect cells like immune cells used for cell therapy.
