Virttu Biologics Ltd. is a private biopharmaceutical company focused on developing oncolytic virus therapies for the treatment of cancer. The company’s lead candidate, Seprehvir® (HSV1716), is derived from a modified version of the common human herpes simplex virus (HSV-1). Seprehvir® is designed to specifically target and destroy tumor cells while also stimulating an anti-tumor T cell-mediated immune response. As part of its global clinical program, Seprehvir® has been administered to over 100 adult and pediatric patients with various solid tumors, including glioblastoma, mesothelioma, melanoma, head and neck cancer, pediatric sarcoma, and pediatric neuroblastoma.
