Basic Information
Charco Neurotech is a medical technology company that develops non-invasive wearable devices. The company's first therapeutic device, CUE1, provides neuromodulation therapy. Based on more than two years of research involving patients and clinicians, this non-invasive wearable device delivers personalized peripheral nerve stimulation, designed to alleviate motor symptoms during walking, such as slowness, stiffness, and freezing. Worn on the sternum, the device simultaneously delivers two clinically proven therapies — focused stimulation and "cueing." This is achieved through customizable stimulation settings personalized for each patient. The former interacts with the body’s sensory system, creating a "ready-to-move" state that helps improve speed and mobility. The latter uses regular or rhythmic stimulation or cues to help Parkinson’s patients initiate and sustain movements such as walking.
