Alpheus Medical is a private company developing an innovative solution that uses ultrasound delivered through a non-invasive proprietary device to treat aggressive brain tumors. The device employs Sonodynamic Therapy (SDT), a drug treatment method that uses ultrasound to activate drugs targeting cancer cells. The company’s lead product utilizes a novel, non-invasive combination of pharmaceutical and device for the treatment of recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme (rGBM). Alpheus Medical's products are co-developed with some of the most accomplished companies in the global neuro-oncology field and have received support from the American Cancer Society and the National Brain Tumor Society. The therapy is currently in the early clinical stage and has not yet been commercialized.
