XORTX Therapeutics Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company that has developed two clinically advanced products: XRx-008 for the treatment of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD); XRx-101 for the treatment of coronavirus/COVID-19 infections. XRx-225, currently in preclinical development, is for the treatment of type 2 diabetic nephropathy (T2DN). XORTX is working to advance its clinical-stage development products, which target abnormal purine metabolism and oxidase to reduce or inhibit uric acid production.
