Dart NeuroScience's mission is to become a leading specialty pharmaceutical company in the treatment of memory disorders by focusing on the discovery and development of innovative drugs with novel mechanisms of action. Dart NeuroScience’s unique perspective stems from scientific discoveries at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL). CSHL has developed a series of proprietary technologies capable of identifying fruit fly genes that control memory. DNS has extended the functional links of these genes to mammalian memory and significantly expanded its IP portfolio by identifying small molecule drugs targeting mammalian systems through new approaches. DNS continues to focus on the identification and validation of genes related to mammalian memory formation. With such genetic targets, high-throughput screening can identify compounds that enhance or suppress the biochemical activity of the target gene, thereby generating memory enhancers.
