End Cell was founded in 2019 and led by Researcher Cheng Xin from the Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (formerly the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology). Cheng Xin studied under the world-renowned stem cell scholar Dr. Gordon Keller. The R&D team he leads has rich experience and over two decades of technical accumulation in the fields of in vitro directed differentiation of stem cells and in vitro regeneration of tissues and organs. The company focuses on the in vitro regeneration of human tissues and organs, with its primary pipeline being regenerative islets for transplantation to treat diabetes. The company concentrates on technological innovation in the in vitro pancreatic differentiation system of stem cells, guided by unique fundamental theories. It scales the production of regenerative islet tissue in vitro that does not form tumors in vivo and possesses complete in vivo functionality, significantly reducing the risk of in vivo tumorigenesis of stem cell-derived cells/tissues from a fundamental logical perspective, providing further safety assurance for the clinical application of regenerative tissues.
