UW Health is an academic regional referral center with 505 beds and 125 outpatient clinics, located on the western edge of the University of Wisconsin. It is one of only two centers in Wisconsin designated as a Level I adult and pediatric trauma center by the American College of Surgeons.UW Health is the comprehensive health system of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, serving more than 700,000 patients annually from the Midwest and beyond, with 1,849 physicians and 21,000 employees across 7 hospitals and over 80 outpatient locations.
