PainQx

PainQx Inc., a medical device company developing a next-generation method for objectively assessing chronic pain, has been awarded a Phase II SBIR contract by the U.S. Defense Health Agency. The DHA SBIR contract will enable PainQx to enhance and expand the capabilities of its pain assessment technology, the ALGOS system. The PainQx ALGOS system is an AI-based software platform that uses EEG-derived neural activity to objectively evaluate pain. Data is processed through a series of proprietary algorithms to generate graded chronic pain biomarkers associated with patients' pain. The ALGOS system is a point-of-care solution that empowers physicians to make better treatment decisions, track patient outcomes, and ultimately reduce the cost of pain management.
