Basic Information
HAGAR N.I.G. (Noninvasive Glucose Monitoring) is the developer of GWave, the world's first non-invasive continuous glucose monitoring technology, which uses radiofrequency waves to continuously measure blood glucose levels. The first generation of GWave is only one-third the size of a smartphone and uses less radio frequency than a smartphone. It detects blood glucose levels, which is essential for anyone with diabetes. GWave can also be used for preventive healthcare as it measures elevated glucose levels that are not high enough for a diagnosis. Taking these early measures can help prevent type 2 diabetes. GWave 2.0, currently under development, is a sensor that can be directly integrated into smartwatches. It will seamlessly connect to the GWave smartphone app, allowing users to receive glucose readings on their phones for easy sharing with their healthcare providers.
