Encellin

Encellin is developing regenerative materials using cell transplantation therapy. The company has developed cell transplantation therapies to treat missing, damaged, or diseased cells, as well as chronic conditions such as hypoglycemia and hypocalcemia. Its novel thin-film Cell Encapsulation Device (CED) functions like a small pouch that houses the cells and helps them survive within the body. Encellin's CED allows the encapsulated cells to operate like smart molecular factories, releasing therapeutic agents when needed. The founding team from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is leading advancements in nanotechnology and bioengineering.
