Palisade Bio

Palisade Bio is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing oral therapies to help patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal complications caused by post-surgical digestive enzyme injuries. Our initial focus is on preventing the disruption of gastrointestinal function after major surgeries (referred to as "ileus") to accelerate recovery and reduce patient hospital stays. Additionally, PB believes its investigational therapies have the potential to prevent the formation of post-surgical adhesions, a common reason for readmission for additional surgeries. Decades of research at Palisade Bio have shown that surgical injury to the intestines leads to further tissue damage and inflammation caused by digestive enzymes, resulting in a range of acute and chronic conditions. We are developing a series of oral product candidates to treat diseases driven by proteases (intestinal digestive enzymes) that escape the gut, including surgical complications and inflammation.
