Basic Information
Cardiac Implants is engaged in the development and clinical research of percutaneous catheter devices for treating structural heart disease. The first product we are developing is a percutaneous full-ring annuloplasty device for treating patients with tricuspid regurgitation. Our device is the only one specifically designed to meet the mechanical and functional endpoints of surgical ring annuloplasty, which is the clinical gold standard for surgical valve repair. Our technology overcomes the challenges of ring fracture and preservation by utilizing the body’s natural healing process to establish a strong bond between our annuloplasty implant and the valve annulus. Using a low-profile, complete ring-shaped implant, we achieve safe, simple, and effective annular repositioning, stabilization, and maintenance. The design functionality of our annular implant acts as a flexible ring during the healing period and as a semi-rigid ring during the long-term chronic phase, while preserving the essential valve geometry. We collaborate with globally leading surgeons, cardiologists, pathologists, engineers, and scientists to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
