MVRx is a medical device company that has launched the ARTO™ System, a transcatheter annular repositioning therapy. The ARTO™ System is a unique endovascular treatment for mitral regurgitation associated with congestive heart failure. The system treats heart failure by reducing backward leakage of blood through the mitral valve, thereby increasing forward blood flow to other parts of the body. ARTO shortens the minor axis of the mitral valve by moving the septum and lateral wall inward, directly reshaping the mitral valve annulus and improving leaflet coaptation. This restores normal anatomical relationships and reduces regurgitation.
