Brain-Computer Interface Technology Developer

Basic Information

Paradromics is developing high-capacity bidirectional data streams between the brain and computers. Our neural interface technology will initially be used to help physically disabled patients reconnect with the external world, bringing limitless possibilities.Founded in 2015 by a team of engineers and neuroscientists, Paradromics received early support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). As a developer of high data-rate brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), its first commercial product, the Connexus™ communication device, will restore communication for patients who have lost the ability to speak due to severe paralysis. Through this BCI, patients will be able to reconnect with others and achieve independence by using computers. Paradromics will collaborate with healthcare companies to develop new therapies for brain-related diseases.
