Altesa Biosciences is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing new treatments for high-risk viral infections that threaten human health. These infections are particularly severe in vulnerable populations, including those with chronic conditions such as lung disease, the elderly, and many underserved communities. Altesa is built on a proven, highly successful drug development platform that has helped avoid two of the most impactful pandemics in the past century—HIV/AIDS and COVID-19. Our goal is to develop safe and effective oral antiviral drugs with simple formulations, prescribed at the right time to the right patients, to halt the progression of infections before they become severe.
