MedTrace Pharma is a developer of diagnostic equipment for heart disease. The company has developed a solution that enables the production of radioactive water (15O-water) in clinical practice. Previously, radioactive water could not be used in practice due to its ultra-short half-life, becoming unusable after just 10 minutes. However, MedTrace has overcome this challenge with its MT-100 device, which can be placed directly next to a hospital's scanner, allowing for the production and use of safer and more accurate radioactive water as a tracer for diagnosing heart disease patients. This will enable hospitals to scan more patients with radioactive water in less time. Additionally, the accuracy of cardiac scans will be approximately 50% higher than traditional SPECT scans.
