MedicSetu is a non-profit initiative aimed at connecting doctors with patients who are currently in home isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The platform was established against the backdrop of a sharp increase in cases in India during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has placed a burden on the existing infrastructure. Many non-governmental organizations and self-help groups have stepped forward to counteract this by coordinating access to groups of doctors for the general public, who may not be able to afford medical fees. In this initiative, doctors will voluntarily contribute alongside different groups to assist those who cannot afford or reach other institutions. MedicSetu is purely a non-commercial project, driven by the spirit of cooperation and contribution from doctors, non-governmental organizations, self-help groups, federations, social volunteers, and other individuals. The platform aims to provide remote consultation services for patients in home isolation.
